Show-Stopping Showroom

Having little experience in retail design didn’t stop me from answering the call from my friends at Harway Appliances to help them with the layout and redesign of part of their showroom. As part of my career I have spent 6 years in retail sales at an appliance showroom so knowing the importance of proper display of appliances came naturally. Once I had the field measurements plotted I was ready to tackle the multi-page spreadsheet of appliances required for the space. It was important to arrange the appliances to partly resemble a working kitchen while also displaying the MANY different wall oven options. Another requirement of the space was to include an environment for education and entertainment. This space would eventually serve as a demo kitchen and opportunity to serve food and beverages to large crowds. Finally I helped interview the contractors who might complete the fabrication and construction of the design. This was awarded to Kitchens by Bell. The materials Bert Bell presented and fabricated the cabinetry from were ones which nicely fit the pallet I was hoping to achieve. The final outcome was award-winning.
