New Orleans Inspired

This kitchen allowed the general contractor, JNA Construction, and me to not only work with a delightful family, but we were rewarded by entering the NARI Tour of Remodeled homes and received the honor of “Best of Show” that year. In addition to this honor our efforts and this project were featured in Urban Home Magazine in 2010.
The homeowners not only had such a fantastic attitude about their house being completely taken over by the remodel for a short time, but they also had an eye for style. That makes a designer’s job such fun! Much of their personal art had been gathered from their time spent in New Orleans. Inspiration of the color palate was taken from those meaningful pieces.
The European frameless cabinets were used to link back to the retro roots of this 1967-built home. The cabinets are a combination of a gloss steel and gloss cream thermofoil. The backsplash is back painted, solid glass. No grout lines to clean up there! Simply sleek!
